Happened upon a cool site! I’m slowly trying to update their information about Femforce and AC Characters.

VaVaVaVoom! Issue 2 - Convention Special

February 9th, 2008

Cover Painting for Issue 2

The Limited Edition - Convention Special - version of VaVaVaVooom! is off to the printer and will first be available for sale exclusively at Megacon in Orlando on March 7-9, 2008. This Convention Special contains a guest appearance by AC Comics’ Femforce in a story drawn by Eddy Newell which substitutes for Eddy’s not yet completed story slated to appear in the regular edition. Visitors to the Femforce-Femfans website have already seen a web-version of the story, titled “Trick or Treats!,” but this is the first time the story has been printed in comic book format.

Jungle adventure (Alina), pirates (Jennifer), superheroines (Sofia - The Ace!), and barbarian warriors (Taryn), round out the issue and it looks fantastic! Can’t wait to see the reaction of fans at Megacon!

Dawn

February 9th, 2008

One of the great things about the internet is the large number of images of beautiful women available for viewing. Here’s one that catches the eye with very much a “girl next door” kind of look. Her name is Dawn and a google search of Dawn’s Place would reveal much more information and a great number of images of her in states of greater undress! She indicates she’s natural, with no added enhancement, which makes her bountiful bod even more impressive. An inspiration for art!

The Ace!

January 29th, 2008

The Ace by Jim Ritchey

I’ve got a few more story ideas for the Ace also in the works. As readers are learning, Sofia Pinero is a brilliant engineer and physicist, but she’s never quite fit in and generally tries to keep a low profile. As her costumed alter ego, though, she’s brash and overly confident, the opposite of her normal attitude! She finds playing heroine fun, but she’s starting to learn that this previously repressed side to her personality brings a share of trouble beyond just the ordinary dangers of fighting crime. It seems, the bad guys can’t wait to get their paws on the sexy, arrogant heroine and take her down a peg or ten. Below are a couple of images depicting scenes in future stories.

Yankee Girl Statue from Reelart Studios

January 27th, 2008

Bill Black recently sent me some of the photos of the Yankee Girl prototype statue that will be used for the final version on sale from Reelart Studios. It’s gorgeous! I was one who would have liked a flying pose of some kind, but the completed statue is so well done and Yankee Girl looks so exquisite that I’m sold! The face is so lovely! I’ve already pre-ordered mine, and you can, as well!  They’re available for pre-order through AC Comics!  Just click here and order with Paypal using the Buy it Now button! Here are a few of the photos so you can see for yourself:

Character Background - Alina

October 28th, 2007

She doesn’t show up in the pages of VaVaVaVoom! until the second issue, but Alina is one of the first characters I created. In fact, she started off as a villainess, and her name wasn’t Alina!

Those of you familiar with my stories in Femforce, may know that I contributed a Tara of the Jungle story for Femforce Issue 125 with art by Silvano (who drew the “Hel” story in VaVaVaVoom! Issue 1. Well, Ana, the evil, whacko, ultra-environmentalist who trapped and tried to kill Tara in that issue has morphed into Alina, a more sane jungle adventurer who is on the right side of the law.

Here we see some of the preliminary work by Silvano for Ana, the hispanic villainess from Femforce Issue 125. The jungle boots, the short khaki pants rolled up at the thighs. The long sleeve shirt, unbuttoned and tied up at the ribs, with the plunging U-neck undershirt beneath gave her the look I wanted.

Ana was a great character, but certainly not a heroine, except maybe in her own mind! Alina may have Ana as a genesis, but she’s a little different. Her outfit is the same, but her outlook is more positive! Alina is a Mexican-American scientist, primarily botany! Her specialty has led her to spend a lot of time in jungles and forests, and to make ends meet she’ll act as a guide or even an espionage agent. She’s truly a woman for all seasons!

By the way, under her khakis, she wears a bikini which she’ll strip down to in her first adventure, and probably most of her others. Here’s the slightly revised look in her bikini outfit that Ed Coutts drafted.

Not bad, huh? Here are preliminary pencils for an illustration of a scene in a future Alina adventure:

Alina and Croc

I also hope to get permission from AC Comics to have her team with AC’s Irish of the Jungle character in another story, and she’ll have an adventure at a seedy motel in the bayou.  Of course, this assumes she escapes the watery grave above and the jaws of death!

Her adventure in Issue 2, penciled by the legendary Rudy Nebres and inked by Ed Coutts, should provide some insight into her character and abilities, and I hope her continuing adventures will make her the favorite of many readers!

Smoke and Mirrors!

September 11th, 2007

In the premiere issue of VaVaVaVoom!, Ed Coutts delivers the first of a 3-part story featuring a lead character based on actress and model, Jennifer DeLora! Jennifer’s character falls into the clutches of a very bad guy, and things only get worse from there! I expect fans of heroines in peril will enjoy the section of the story partially represented below, but, no doubt, I’ll be fielding complaints from the Union of Evil Magicians!

Darn evil Magicians!
